Veterinary Clinical Services
Veterinary Clinical Services
are provided by the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital (OVAH) and mobile and rural
clinic services. All clinical services are rendered as part of the primary teaching
mission of the Faculty of Veterinary Science and students are therefore always involved.
Services are rendered at the level of primary animal health care (mobile and rural
clinics) and first opinion/referred cases (OVAH). At the OVAH farm animal, equids, dogs,
cats, birds, exotic and certain wild animal species are treated in species clinics.
Facilities and equipment at the OVAH are of the highest order and compare favourably to
similar institutions in other countries. |
