| This section currently contains information on chemicals associated with
disease in waterfowl, plus disinfectants and pesticides which may be used in the control
of Foot and Mouth Disease or West Nile Virus and its vectors. Chemical pages are added as
required for each module. Chemicals pages provide alternative names including common trade names, together with notes on their uses and important interactions with living organisms from vertebrates to micro-organisms, as appropriate. All information is referenced with links provided to details of the references used (see: Refs. & Gloss.). All chemical pages are colour coded yellow to assist in navigation. The page on a given chemical may be reached by following the obvious links from the yellow "Chemicals" link which is visible at the top of the screen at all times (except when viewing an image). Links are also available from within each module (e.g. from the page on a disease associated with a given chemical). A third method is by using the on-line search mechanism (see "How to search" for further details). |
