The ISPCA – We care for All Animals
For the past six decades, the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has worked locally and nationally rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cruelly treated and neglected animals. For many years the ISPCA acted primarily as an administrative umbrella body for our affiliated Societies. At the start of the new millennium a radical new direction was undertaken with the opening of the National Animal Centre in County Longford and the recruitment of a nationwide team of animal welfare Inspectors. The Society remains the umbrella organisation for 23 affiliated local animal welfare organisations and as such provides training and support to a dedicated and committed core of volunteers.
